Responsibilities

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We are seeking a Research Programme Coordinator to join the Faculty of Engineering and Design.

In this key role, you will provide comprehensive pre-award and post-award research support to academic staff and researchers across a diverse portfolio of research projects. Acting as a trusted advisor and coordinator, you will support researchers throughout the full research lifecycle, helping them navigate funding opportunities, research support services, project implementation, contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and project closure activities.

You will play an important role in coordinating research funding applications, assisting with project costing and budgeting, monitoring project progress and expenditure, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring compliance with University and funder requirements. As the first point of contact for many research-related enquiries, you will build strong relationships with researchers, Research Operations Centre teams, and external funding partners to facilitate successful research outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced coordinator or administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced, stakeholder-focused environment and who is passionate about supporting world-class research and innovation.

This is a full-time role, 37.5  hours per week, fixed-term for 11 months. The salary range is $63,600 - $70,000 per annum, prorated depending on experience and qualifications.
