You will be part of the Campus Environment team, recognised for delivering leading‑edge planning and development consultancy and for creating high‑quality physical environments through some of the country’s largest and most complex building and construction projects.

What you are expected to deliver:

In this role, you will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital works projects across the University. Working closely with academic, professional and operational stakeholders, you will manage projects from concept through to completion, ensuring successful outcomes while balancing the unique demands of a live teaching and research environment.

You will be responsible for navigating University governance and approval processes, managing procurement and consultant engagements, coordinating contractors, and planning works around teaching schedules, examinations, research activities and campus operations. Strong stakeholder management, project administration and communication skills will be critical to your success.

This is a permanent, full-time, (37.5 hours per week). A full description of your duties and the role are provided in the position description linked HERE.

You will have experience managing projects throughout the project lifecycle, including project planning and design coordination, procurement and contract administration, stakeholder engagement, budget management and project reporting. You will be confident working within organisational governance frameworks, policies, approval processes and compliance requirements to ensure projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.

You will be an effective communicator and relationship builder, with the ability to engage, influence and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders. Your strong stakeholder management, negotiation and customer focus skills will enable you to successfully balance competing priorities and deliver projects within a complex operational environment.

Ideally, you will have experience working in a university, public sector or similarly complex environment, with an understanding of the challenges associated with delivering projects within occupied facilities and around teaching, research, examinations and other operational activities.
